The National Broadcasting Commission (NBC) has fined three broadcast station for ‘inappropriate’ report on coronavirus (COVID-19). Speaking to newsmen on the amendment to the broadcast code, the Acting Director-General of the NBC, Prof. Armstrong Idachaba said 25 stations were also sanctioned and fined for other various offences in the first quarter of 2020. Naija News reports that the stations sanctioned on the account of their report on COVID-19 are Breeze FM and Adaba FM in Akure, Ondo state.
