38-year-old teacher, Onuoha Kenneth, was arrested by police and charged to FCT Chief Magistrates’ Court on suspicion of defiling a minor, on Thursday, 26 June. It was gathered that the incident occurred in school where Kenneth was working as a teacher. The man lured a seven-year-old girl in the school toilet and ordered her take off her clothes including her underwear. He inserted his finger into the victim's private parts, bruising and making her bleed in the process.
The Inspector-General of Police, IGP Usman Alkali Baba has appointed DCP Tunji Disu as the head of the Police Intelligence Response Team (IRT). Disu replaces the embattled Abba Kyari who has been suspended over allegation of bribe levelled against him by a suspected international fraudster, Ramon Abbas popularly known as Hushpuppi. The news of the replacement was contained in a statement on Monday evening by the Police Public Relations Officer, CP Frank Mba.
