A 5-year-old girl has been reportedly defiled by a 50-year-old man in Benue State. According to the report made available on social media on Friday, February 5 by one Ukan Kurugh, the old aged man who is confirmed to be HIV positive was caught raping a little girl in Gwer West Local Government Area of the state. Naija News understands that Kurugh (an activist in Benue), was informed of the matter by a medical officer at the General Hospital in Naka, who confirmed the suspect’s HIV status.

Former Kogi West Senator, Dino Melaye on Tuesday lost the bid to return to the National Assembly after he was defeated in the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) primary election. Naija News reports Dino Melaye was defeated at the primaries by a three terms House of Representative member, Hon. Tajudeen Yusuf who represents Kabba/Bunu Ijumu Federal constituency. While Melaye polled a final vote of 99, Yusuf got 163 votes from the delegates to clinch the PDP ticket for the Kogi West Senatorial Constituency.

Former Ondo State Governor, Olusegun Mimiko has rejoined the major opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
